OUR MANDATE

The mandate of the Association is to support the businesses of members and create opportunities for cultural, economic and commercial partnerships between Italy and Ghana.

​

  • The Association organises periodic seminars and lectures on key business issues which are presented by resource persons and experts in such matters. We welcome mutually beneficial collaborations to organise joint events and workshops with other entities.

  • We consult to Ghanaian firms which have trade relations with Italy and Italian firms planning to invest in Ghana. We provide reliable local information and insights acquired over years of experience working in similar capacities in these trade markets.

  • We promote business continuity, cultural exchanges, and tourism while striving to improve the overall quality of life of the communities in which we operate by implementing and maintaining sustainable programs that proactively enhance the economy.

MEET THE BOARD

Enrico De Simone

Enrico De Simone is a third-generation descendant of the founder of the company, Giovanni De Simone an Italian immigrant who settled in Ghana and established the construction firm in 1964. 

 

De Simone is one of West Africa's leading civil engineering and construction companies. With over 40 years’ presence in the country, it is the construction arm and flagship company of the De Simone Group, which comprises seven companies.

Nii Amaa Ollennu is the Managing Director of La Villa Boutique hotel, Olma colonial suites, Business Jet among a list of other business portfolios. Being  Italo-Ghanaian, his objective is to connect his two home countries by helping to realize the conversion of IBAG into a chamber of commerce which will serve to support other entrepreneurs and business minded people like himself in the pursuit of their dreams.

Luca Beneventi joined IBAG as the Sales Director for Marca Corona. He is instrumental for the successful organisation of all IBAG events. Luca’s drive for IBAG is to positively impact the internal structure of the association; ensuring that it meets its raison d'être with regards to its calendar of events, as well as ensuring the smooth running of the day to day activities. Luca nows works in Public Relations at Aya Engineering
